Hi all,
I landed in March and got the "NOT FOR TRAVEL" stamped in my IMM 1000 form. My PR card came through, but my wife's did not die to some reason with the photo. In any case, we are in the US and need to return to Canada. Can we do it with the IMM 1000 form? Or do we need to get a Travel...
Hi all,
If I am laid off while on EAD+AOS, is my company still responsible for paying for my expenses to move back home? I know this can be asked for in the H-1 case, not sure if it's applicable for the EAD case.
Thanks.
Hi Shankar,
My wife and I are also moving to Toronto in July. We really loved the High Park area...it is very accessible to the city. Check out www.highparkvillage.com which is a high-rise apartment complex. Rent ranges from $1400 to $1700 Canadian for a 2-br/1-bath. Other decent areas are...
There is no minimum waiting period. You can land and then turn around and drive right back into the US since you have Adv. Parole...also, the landing document is valid for travel till the end of 2003(even though they stamp it as not valid for travel). It takes about 6 weeks for the Canadian PR...
mrp2612,
How long did it take for your wife's PR card to come by mail? I landed last week and the immig. officer told me it was taking about 6 weeks. Also, did CIC say you needed a "facilitation" visa to re-enter Canada since you didn't have your PR card?
thanks
Hi, my wife's EAD app was received in VSC on Jan 16th, approved on Feb 22nd and the card was received March 4th in the mail. Less than 2 weeks from approval to card receipt.
good luck to all
Got iEAD at Boston INS office
Hi all,
just wanted to let you know that I got my iEAD from the Boston INS office. My EAD application has been pending for more than 90 days in CSC(my lawyers filed it in Calif.!) It was very painless, they saw the EAD receipt notice and the 485 reciept. All in...
gccouple...I am a little confused. You say you went for an "interim EAD", yet you say you didn't file for the EAD?!!
I am not sure about getting a new EAD, if the 485 was filed in a different office, but interim EAD is something different. iEAD is issued when you've already filed for the EAD...
no, I showed them my EAD receipt which was filed in CSC(don't ask) and they just told me to come back when the 90 day period was over.
Were you informed by one of the INS officers that they will not issue EAD/renewals or are you basing this on something else?
incorrect information
Boston INS office is still issuing EAD/renewals. I was there on the 7th of Feb. and was told to return in a few weeks for my interim EAD (90-day period). However, there are notices posted stating that I-485/I-130 cannot be filed in person.
chill out dude
I have a right to cry and complain...When YOU spend 2 1/2 years in non-RIR and 1+ year in RIR(and still waiting) then and only then do you get a chance to bitch at others...
frickin\' DOL
skips right over my case all the way into June. As my luck will have it, by the time I get approved the blasted I-140 queue would have grown considerably...
I can\'t catch a break... AAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHH
awright![no, I didn\'t get it]
A new Pokemon...I think I shall dub marlborobell...Raichu Pokemon!
All hail the new Pokemon!
Getting closer with the dates though....
