Hey thanks! The IO told me I would likely be having the ceremony at my local town as I live in central IL. So, fingerprint+interview+ceremony all at different places, haha :D

Passed interview today; staff and IO were efficient and courteous; in and out of the building in under 20 min

Hi, congrats and thanks again for sharing your Chicago interview experience! I do have one quick question for you: do they allow (smart)phones inside the building when you had to go through the check-ins (security checks)? Thanks!

I ask myself the exact same question everyday :D plus my FP was in indianapolis, and now interview's in Chicago... I guess I should just save myself the headaches and not try to understand the inner-workings of USCIS

Hey thanks a lot for the reply! I live 2 hours away but am not planning on driving there (heard the traffic in Chicago is just too scary :). I hope to use my phone as GPS and time-killer after my interview before my bus away (5 hours wait...). Read somewhere online that they do not allow phones...

Received interview letter today, in a month at Chicago office, different from my FP office, a little surprised, but oh well

Just received e-notification that interview was scheduled, finally...

I just assumed it all depended on the particular field office you were assigned to; the longer the queue at your particular local office, the longer the wait time is. I could be wrong though... That said, I have been waiting for 2 months now, come on Indy office!
