    RFE on I140

    I am surprised that you have no FP notice ? Your attorney must have sent a letter asking for FP sometime in Oct /Nov 04. I think you can wait for 140 approval and see if u get 485 approval without FP ( it has happened for some guys, I know ) and take it at ASC/USCIS when u go for passport...

    Willgetthere As your nick name suggests, you WILL GET THERE. This RFE is a positive sign and wait to give the good news of your approval within a week of your attorney replying to the RFE. Count your days for approval !! It is just round the corner. Wish you good luck.

    Hi, I got 485 approval for me, my wife and son ( 11 years ). I am waiting for the approval letter. But I want to know what documents are needed for INFOPASS appointment for PP stamp. Also my son is 11 years. Do I need PP stamp for him too ? I am told they will get the GC directly.

    There was no LUD on my 485 till today after the RD:12/31/03 Not even after my FP If your FP is over, they can approve yours as I know a friend who got his GC but his family did FP later and are still waiting for approval.

    573 485 cases approved bet Dec. & Jan 14th In immigrationwatch.com I see 573 approvals between Dec. & Jan.14 th. I guess "Current" means approval date . Correct me if I am wrong.

    I-140 Lud Changed

    My 140 LUD changed once when I applied for 485 in Jan 04. then in Nov 2, 04 and later the same time when I got my approval. Both LUD and 140 approval happened together on 1/10/05.

    Hi, Your attorney must send a letter asking for an update based on the current process date. I wonder why he wants to charge by hour esp if you filed thro him. or your employer can call or mail asking for an update. USCIS does not take calls from the employees.

    Ask again: does 15-yr old child need name check too?

    In my opinion, any one above 15 needs a FP and so will undergo the name check process though it may not be too stringent for them. I am not a lawyer nor some one from USCIS. I have a daughter 15 yrs and she had an FP. I hope that will be the process.
