Hello. It's really nice to see people getting approved. I filed my ROC application on June 8th and recently got a request for evidence. They want to see a copy of our driving licenses as proof of address because we just moved. The problem is - DMV won't issue a DL because they are waiting for...
My GC was shipped to me on September 12th. I was able to get a USPS tracking number. When I go online it says the shipment was accepted on 09/12 as a Priority mail letter. According to the info, this type of letter normally takes 2-3 days to deliver. It has been much longer than that - I still...

She is not filing for adjustment of status. You are. Hers is submitted in connection with I-130. She should check "other" and write "petition for alien relative". You are submitting identical forms for each application, so you will check "other-petition for alien relative" on one for I-130 and...
When you are filing I-130, submit one G325A for the petitioner (your spouse), and one G325A for the applicant (yourself).

Exactly, I wasn't thinking and applied in my maiden name too but at the interview I specifically asked whether it can be printed in the married name. She said ok. The card hasn't arrived yet so we'll see if it works out.
beautifulorchid, $450 is a lot of money, I would probably wait as well.
Thanks Pandya but this makes no sense to me. Is USCIS going nuts? There is no issue with my J1. I am sure the officer perfectly knew whether I was the subject to the 2 year rule or not -it's in my file. She just wanted to see what I say. And I said that I don't know because it is true. So I...
I looked at DS-2019, it has two boxes: "Not subject to the two-year residence requirement" and "Subject to the two-year residence requirement".
Neither box is checked. The visa page in my passport also doesn't have any remarks. So I really don't know. I should have asked the IO....
Hi Dino117, I came to the US on J1 but it expired back in 2008, I got a one year extension - DS 2019 form, then in 2009 I switched to F1 and my I-20 will expire in 2012. I have never been out of status. Do I still have to worry about the waiver? I wasn't sure about 2 year rule when the IO asked...
