    OCI- Birth Certificate

    I am in the process of getting OCI for our US born kid. We live in CA and the notary said they cant notarize Birth certificates in CA. Can anybody please help by letting us know if you guys applied OCI with notarized BC or not?

    h1 to H4

    My H1b expired on Oct 1, 2012. On Sep 20, 2012 I filed for my H4 extension and got recepit on Sep 28, 2012. My H4 approval notice shows H4 is valid from Dec 12, 2012 to 2015. Was I out of status from Oct 1, 2012 to Dec 12? Or am I O.K. since I filed H4 before my H1 expired, I should be fine...
