posting this on the behalf of my friend.
Friend was the dependent of diplomatic and then became Section 13.
recently he got married with the USC and his spouse filing 130 for him. Both of them are in USA.
I am helping him to go through the paperwork, and have few questions.
The process will go...
If the visa is valid, upon arrival the CBP officer would take the fresh fingerprints and digital photo, unless a letter sent out from consulate asking specifically for this.
- no amendment allowed on machine readable passport, so she has to apply for a new passport.
- if old passport is not required then visa not valid on old passport, she need to get the stamp on new passport somehow.
- in this case, does she needs to apply for new visa or just request for the...
my mother's B2 expired in 2014 along with her passport.
She had hand written passport which had the USA visa stamp on it. This old passport stated complete date of birth. 01/08/yyyy
The new passport she made is machine readable, and because she only had yyyy on her NADRA id they put...
I mistakenly wrote 131, I meant 130.
So in this case, they were married before petitioner was 18.
What I understand Petitioner should file 2 petitions. separate for mother and father.
An american citizen who sponsor his father (or mother) once the petition approved, can one parent also bring their spouse?
An American citizen only file 1 I-131 for both parents? or 2 separate I-131 needs to be filed?
I second what OttawaSenators said. you need to find a better employer.
Try to connivence to at least file Labor certification so you can secure your priority date.
I would also suggest keep working for this company on TN and look for another job who can sponsor your GC.
Thank you.
My main concern is they always will have their un-expired passports with them all the time.
so they can prove their citizenship through passport as a valid document.
in that case why spend additional $700 to get certificate?
Unless there would be a need where their passport is not...
thank you for the quick reply.
Another question.
the proof of citizenship can be applied anytime in future? or that needs to be applied before they turn over 18?
Taking my oath this week.
Have a spouse and 3 under 18 kids.
I guess I have to apply N400 for my wife, but what about the kids?
Will they become citizen automatically and I just apply for their passports? or file N600?
Thanks.
