My PP was stamped in Seattle on April 11th, no Biometrics notice. I received the card ordered message 07/07 and card mailed message on 7/12, so I would not worry about not receiving a biometrics notice.
Just adding to the sudden spurt in card ordered messages!
485 AD: 3/25/05
PP stamped: 04/11/05. Just did the usual finger printing.
CO: 07/07/05
No Biometrics.
So all you guys stamped in april beginning, you might get a pleasant surprise even if you didnt get a biometrics letter so...

I called yesterday since it was 60 days since stamping (April 11th). Did get thru to an NSC officer and learnt that my I-89 card with FPs etc. had been received back in NSC on April 18th, but not sure if theres any other use of calling because she repeated the usual line about it...
Your 485 cannot be approved without a visa number being available, so the scenario you described would not happen...
as soon as you get married, her PD will be same as your so as soon as the PD moved past yours you can file 485 for her.

Did you try posting your question in the citizenship forum? Thats when it would come up and so you might get good idea of what kind of stuff gets asked during naturalization interview and whether changing jobs soon after GC is ever an issue etc.
