Cherr,
Thanks for your response - appreciate it. Since we are mailing just the copies of the document and have all the originals with us, what we have done instead is to make a list of all the items that we are mailing. We have placed the list on the folder that we are sending - kind of an...

Yayyyy!!!! CONGRATULATIONS! I am so happy for you... been waiting since morning for this good news... and I am sure, your job interview is gonna be an equally smooth deal. Best of luck... n thanks for sharing the experience. :)
I've seen more than a few cases (in CSC) for parents where the case was approved without an interview. Don't worry - most likely the cases for your parents too have been approved without an interiview. Just wait for some time and see if you get the card. Also, try checking what the online status...
There is no approval of I-864 per se. It just goes to show whether your sponsor will be able to provide financial support for you or not. If USCIS finds something missing from your I-864 (like latest tax return), they would send you an RFE for that, or else, you can pretty much assume that your...
Hi Shah,
1. Its the same thing - its actually - Freedom of Information and Privacy Act.
2. I printed the appln after filling it out online, signed it and sent it thru the snail mail.
Lemme know if u have ne further questions n Good Luck.
It shudn't really be a surp to c the interview date being within 4 mnths of submitting the appl - cuz tht has been a recent trend. I started noticing this trend arnd Apr-May this year. NE how, wut u shud do is to make an infopass, go to ur DO n talk to them abt this. I hope u get get it resched...
I presume tht ur ans to Is she a US citizn is Yes. U may file for AOS n EAD, but not the AP. Wth USCIS having sped up the processing speed of the AOS process recently, u may not even need an AP, or an EAD for tht matter. However, as Cherr mentioned, be prepared to ans sum ques at the interview...
Poohsmum - I thot u had an immig attorney who was helping u file the docs - n u got the application thru only in ur third attempt. Wut gud is tht attorney if u still got an RFE. Ne way - how much delay will the RFE cause seems to differ frm case to case. Payala's case I remember didnt get much...
Grundland - CONGRATS!!!
Addie - The fact tht ur wife overstayed her visa shud not affect the timeline. Even though u want ur interview to be in Oct or later - it mite just happen in Sep, unless of course u get an RFE which seems unlikely cuz its already been 15 days since u filed. Good Luck.
