Yet another SB-1 question

Working in a third country.
6 months after the LPR stamped on the passport (just before its expiration) enter the US and depart within 2-3 weeks (green card to be forwarded by a friend).
Do not have time to wait 60 days for reentry permit biometrics.
Stay outside of US for about another year due to job contract and apply for Returning resident visa(SB-1).
1) Is "completing a job contract" a valid reason in USCIS/DOS's eyes?
2) How long does it typically take?
3) Any adverse effects on Naturalization (other than resetting the clock)?
Thanks in advance.

Additional information:
*The job contract is with a non-US entity and was signed before green card was approved.
*Ties with US: Single (so no family in US or elsewhere). Keep renting a room from a friend. Keep a registered, insured car. File federal tax return for overseas income

"About another year"? Or more than another year?

If it's still less than a year, no SB-1 needed; hurry and return to the US before it's been a year!

Otherwise, the SB-1 will be needed, and working abroad is a VERY BAD reason, unless it's for a US company. However if the time outside the US is just barely more than a year, they might be more lenient.

2) How long does it typically take?
1-3 months.

3) Any adverse effects on Naturalization (other than resetting the clock)?
If the green card is maintained, no ill effects on naturalization other than the delayed eligibility.
