work permit for J-2

Hi!

I want to apply for a work permit for my wife who's on J-2.
Does anyone know how to draft the letter ? Do you have a sample letter ?

what are the important points that have tobe kept in mind ?

The format is pretty simple. You just have to mention in the letter that j2's income will not be used for j1 as j1 has an independent fellowship or whatever the case is. You should say that j2's income will be used for her personal development and for travelling and not for j1.Along with the letter you should also send j1's documents showing j1's earnings or fellowship letter.

Check USCIS website for the fees and photographs' requirements as fees have increased now.
