will consulate in montreal accept name-based canadian police certificates

we have interview coming up in april and i note that our canadian police certificates are older than six months (both stamped in august/01). there is no way we can get new finger print based certificates in 2-3 weeks. does anyone know whether the consulate will accept name based checks? thanks.

Some people on this board said that finger-print based PCs are valid for one year. Didn\'t you submit the original PC with your Pkt 3 to NVC. Check for posts from "GcDrone" on this board.
 
They do entertain speedier processing request

If you specifically mention the situation and send the prepaid return fedex packet, you can get the whole thing wrapped up in two weeks - I got it done this way.

Clarification

Whether you need a finger-print one depends on current residency. According to the instructions in my packet 3 RESIDENTS of Canada only need a name-based one. FORMER RESIDENTS of Canada require a fingerprinted one.
