When is it safe to port GC processing?

Hello Experts!

I have few questions related to GC processing under EB2:
1) Generally, how much time does it take for individual processing of each step - PERM, I-140 and AOS?
2) After which step it is safe(without resetting the processing/priority date) to port my GC

processing to a new employer? I came to know that I can port my GC processing to new employer after I-140 approval and 180 days of filing AOS, whichever is later, without resetting my priority date. Can someone please confirm this?

1. PERM can be 3-4 months.
2. AOS depends on country of Birth and Priority date.
