I received the medical papers on Feb 13, 2002 and completed them promptly. So did my wife who is in India. I also had to submit a couple of additional paperwork and Buffalo received it this week (March 20, 2002).
How much longer should I wait for Landing Papers? I called Buffalo twice today and got the same answer: 8 months. According to the folks at Buffalo, background processing is taking an average of 8 months now. Is this accurate? Or, are they as usual giving a conservative estimate? Also, shouldn\'t the background check be pretty straightforward since I have been in US since 1990. Can anyone shed some light on this matter?
I applied for Canadian PR in May, they received the application on May 19, 2001. The AOR arrived in August 2001. The medicals arrived in Feb 2002.
