My employer filed my H1B and it did not picked in the lottery. Right now I have applied for OPT STEM Ext and got RFE.
My concern today is - What if my OPT STEM Ext got rejected? should I leave country immediately?
I checked with my DSO the same question. Reply to my question in DSO words -- "Generally there is no grace period after an OPT application has been denied, however sometimes in denial letters students are given a short time to depart"
Is this true? what should I do to continue my status even after OPT STEM Ext denied?
Please advise me ?
