What happens after NVC receives your approved I-130 petition?...

I have a question for those of u who have had a case similar to mine

Well my I-130 was approved after we upgraded it. (not sure if it was becuz of the upgrade or becuz the priority date became current) Its not at the NVC as yet but we did send the upgrade there and a copy to Califonia Service Center where the petition was.....so my question is should we send another copy of my husbands naturalization certificate with request for upgrade with the approved petition.

The reason why i'm asking like i've said b4 its becuz at the time of filing the I-130 we had chosen the CP and now i'm in the US so i dont want them to send it over there and cause some confusion although we have already applied for I-485. I dont know what happens after NVC receives it or if there is some sort of correspondence with them and where the I-485 was sent.

P.S (hey its that paranoia knocking at my door once more :  )See my timeline below

After NVC receives approved I130, they proceed with steps for CP. (You can refer to first page of parents sticky thread for overview of NVC/CP process).

You have switched to AOS and your application is accepted by USCIS, you should be fine. Based on info seen on internet including immihelp.com , you may want to inform NVC that you have chosen AOS now. Keep track of your AOS process and make sure that it moves along smoothly.

A separate question, did you respond to RFE? It seems your I130 was approved regardless. You want to make sure everything is in order. I am not sure but maybe even send what was requested. I am hoping it would not create confusion with USCIS in terms of receiveing RFE response after having approved I130.

Yes i did respond to the RFE.....they needed the G-325A's (hubby didnt fill them out at the time) and 2 p-photos. I-130 was approved bout a wk or 2 after they received the response for the RFE.

I am sorry, I did not read your timeline carefully. I took it as if you received RFE on June 7th. But it was USCIS who received your RFE response on June 7th. Please ignore my question in my previous post.

hey no probs....our eyes do play tricks on us :)

but i do appreciate your response, thank u. I read up on the immihelp.com and it is very helpful as well......The last time i called the NVC apparently my case wasnt with them as yet so the lady wasnt so keen on taking any information from me.....she said that there was nothing they could do till they receive my case. She couldnt even help me as to the upgrade request and the change of CP to AOS but atleast i sent this to them....so i do hope that they put it on file or hold it till my case is received at their office thats y i was worried...
