Hi,

I need your valuable inputs with regard to my query. I am holding J1 visa which is going to expire on Nov/27/2011. But now I got new DS2019 with 6 months extension (valid till May/31/2012). I would like to know if I can invite my parents with my status.

Thanks in advance and I really appreciate for your time.

IF you are asking about how your parents could visit you in the U.S., they would need to apply for tourist visas (B visas).

B visas are not sponsored visas, an applicant applies on their own and must qualify for it. A married couple or family group traveling together should apply together.

YOU however are irrelevant to THEIR visa applications.

Absolutely no connection between the two entities. Firstly, parents do not need an inviation from a child in order to visit the US. Secondly, it really does not matter how long your J1 visa is valid for.

I would like to know if I can invite my parents with my status.
