Visitors visa validity

[Happy 2000]

All,
 My mother got Canadian tourist visa to Canada which was issued on July 20th 2000. The expiration date of the visa is Dec 18th 2000.

Does she has to visit Canada and leave that country on or before Dec 18th 2000? Or like USA, can she enter Canada on or before Dec 18th 2000 and tour Canada until the date authorised by Immigration officer at the port of entry?

The date of expiry on a visitor visa is the date on which your mother must arrive at a Canadian port of entry. An immigration official at the POE will determine the allowed stay.
