Hello I am marrying a j1 visa holder in march 2008 who is up for renewal in June 2008. I have a visitor visa already and am outside of US.
1. do u suggest applying for j2 visa in march when my tobe spouse visa up for renewal in june 2008
2. Can i come to US on visitor visa and then apply to switch to j2 while in US? (since I would like to work or study here)
3. any issue anticpated if i am allowed to switch from visitor to j2 while in US?
4. Will i be able to stay here on j2 till i have to travel and then will need a stamp from home country or country outsid eof US?
3. Do u suggest waiting till my spouse who is on J1 gets extension in June for atleast a year before i apply for j2? (sicne i have ehard may be issue when j1 is expiring soon)
