Urgent Need Help - I140 & H1B Issue

I got I-140 query 2nd time and my H1b (6yrs )period is completing on sep 10 2002. What is the next step. Do i need to file for H1B extension or apply for I-485 with I-140 pending (according to new law) or do i need to apply both (H1B & I-1485) with in my time limit. Please I need advice on this issue.

Do both H1 and I-485 with EAD

My thinking is you should file both H1 extention and i-485 with EAD.

I agree.

Filing the I-485 and EAD will not help you since you will not have the EAD approved in time to continue working without a gap of employment. Filing an H-1 Extension will allow you to work for the sponsoring employer while the extension petition is pending.
