UPON ENDORSEMENT SERVES AS TEMPORARY I-551 EVIDENCING PERMANENT RESIDENCE FOR 1 YEAR” ?
 
Endorsement happens at the arrival airport (POE) in the USA. YOu go through immigration, they stamp your passport. That is endorsement.

Once endorsed the passport/visa is proof of your LPR (Green Card holder) status. That evidence is considered valid for the first year after endorsement. Within that year you should have your plastic Green Card.
 
It means that upon entry, that immigrant visa automatically turns into a green card (I-551) valid for one year from the date of entry.
 
I do not know if I ask the question in the right place: how much do I have to wait to get my green card, after paying the fees online. (Approximately of corse)
