My current H1-B Visa expires on March 1, 2003. I have an urgent need to travel to India. I'll return just a week before the actual expiry of my current H-1B Visa. I've already applied for the VISA extension through my company (Case Type I 129, Petition for a nonimmigrant worker). I received a receipt in effect to filing the extension in the state of CA, the filing date being 11/19/02. Will there be any problem on my re-entry, if i didn't get the approval (I 797) before i leave the country which will be during the first week of Jan 2003?
