I am in the process of applying for a change of status from J1 (2 HHRR) to a F1. I have applied for a waiver based on no object and the process is taking too loong because school starts january 9th. Because of that i am planning to go home to apply for the F1. My j1 visa is still valid and doesn't expire until march 2006. Do you think i'll have a problem travelling on it. If i am not granted the F1 can i re-enter the US on my J1.
