I will be applied for the H1B on 1st April 2015 by my employer, with consular processing option (not COS option). It will be a non-premium processing. Currently I am on OPT (valid till May 18 2015). I want to travel to India between 10th April-10 May, 2015 for marriage.
- How different is the consular processing option from the COS option?
- I have heard I need to be in the USA when my H1B application is pending? Does it apply to my case?
- What is abandonment of opportunity? Will I be in any trouble if my file is processed when I will be in India?
