Travel question: Green card holder but Passport expires in 6 months

Hello - Needed some help on my immigration question

Situation
My 5 year old kid and I currently reside in USA.
We are Indian citizens and have US Green Card. My kids passport expires in September this year (less than 6 months)
We are planning to visit India on this weekend for a month.

Question
Will my kid have any immigration issues during our travel from USA to India and back from India to USA?

Cannot comment on whether there will be issues entering India, but upon re-entry to the US, your kid should not have a problem, as long as the passport is still valid.

Indian citizens can enter India as long as the passport is valid (and likely even after, but only with a lot of hassle), so there is no issue here.
