Travel outside the country while waiting for interview

I have submitted my N-400 (in Dallas) and completed my FP in the first week of Nov '03. I was planning to make a trip to India for about 4 weeks (around end of Feb).

Can anyone tell me if it OK to travel outside the US while waiting for the Interview Letter? I will appreciate any other comments/feedback that will help me decide.
