TN to H1b

I am currently on TN. My employer wants to apply for h1b this year. I only have 1.5 years of experience with another company. But I am working since 3.5 years with current company. Can I use the current company experience while applying for h1b with current company. I read that for Green card current company experience is voided. I am not sure if the same is true for h1b also.

Please advise.

H1-B is never based on experience, only education. So, for H1-B, you are fine. It would be later, at the GC stage that your current experience may or may not be usable in determining what category of GC you would apply for. (these are questions for another forum, not here) But don't let the firm thing that you cannot get/start GC process without H1-B. H1-B is very hard to get these days (a one day lottery) so get the GC process started now while on TN. You don't need H1-B.
