TN Status + Contracting through S Corporation

Hi,

Can anyone please advise is it possible to obtain a TN status for the Accountant category when you work for your self by registering a S Corporation? To be more specific, say you get a contract assignment as a Contract assignment with a company, is it possible to register a S corporation and create an arrangement by which the company pays the S Corporation. In effect, the S corporation would be the Tn sponsor.

Any thoughts?

The payment arrangement can be through the corporation, but the TN sponsorship itself MUST come through the company for which you are actually doing the work -- the client.

To allow your corporation to sponsor your TN is forbidden -- this is self-sponsorship.

So, ABCo must sponor arun2861 for TN, but can pay him thru aruncorp.

NelsonA what about a 1099? I am working at company A through Company B located in Canada. Company B now has decided to hand me a 1099 i am wondering if this is possible?
