Stuck in Name Check??? Let's track it

I would also like to know from what date Name Check Pending Starts..?Is it the date of 485 filing or FP Date..

If your RD/ND is way behind the current processing date, then you are most likely stuck in the name check.
 
Name Check Stuck since Feb 2004

Recently got email from FBI States "status pending"

1st FP: May 2004
2st FP: May 2005
 
This seems to be a bottomless pit with no way of knowing if and when things are going to improve..
 
I am another one to join the group.
I had my interview in October of last year.
The officer said something about Back ground check.
Since then I have been waiting for any news.
I wrote to them and got a reply" your application under review" "pls do not contact this office for 180 days ".
Review .what do they want to review.
Also I senta email to FBI in March end. So far I havnt got a reply.
I am hoping 4 months should be the target. anyone got a reply from FBI

I received a letter from my congressman that FBI finaly finished my name check. It took 2 years, 5 months, and 25 days.

I think he helped. He is one of the most powerful republicans in Congress. His office bugged FBI about my name check every 2 weeks for the last 4 months.
 
Do you mind telling me who is the congressman? I live in Northern VA, the congressman I talked to didn't want to do anything about it.

Congratulations! You're lucky, my congressman's caseworker did not even want to talk to FBI about immigration.

Thank You. I wish, I talked to my congressman caseworker again on friday and she reinforced that all immigration issues are to be handled by USCIS. No way she is going to contact FBI on this matter, the same answer from local senator.

Won't hurt, though it does not directly affect the name check process.
