Status after F1 whilst waiting for I485 to process

Hi,

I came to the US on an F1 visa, and have been on OPT since August 2015 after completing graduate studies.

I had applied for an I485 Adjustment of Status (AOS) in May 2016. My current OPT expires in August 2016. My question then is what status I would be on after my OPT expires? I am assuming I would not be on F1 status any longer because I have graduated and no longer enrolled in full-time courses, and my OPT would also be up, but I would like some clarification on what happens in this limbo state.
 
You will have no status after 60 days after you successfully complete your OPT. You can stay in the US as long as your AOS is pending regardless of whether you have status or not.
