The I-155 stamp on my pp will expire on 02/18/2003.
Do I have to go to INS to restamp on my pp for legal employment? Is this req'd or just req'd for traveling?
Any responses will be greatly appreciated.

Of course, you should get a new stamp.
But for employment purpose, you should've
got a new SSN card that has no restriction
so that you can always use that card combined
with your driver's license to establish your
work eligibility during I-9 process with
your employers. As long as you have
your DL and a citizen-type SSN card and remember
your A# number. Neither plastic green card
nor the passport stamp is necessary for I-9
(I think this is a big loophole but that is not our
direct problem, or our fault).

By the way, I think we should obey INA 264
(8 USC 1304), but I think carrying the
passport is too risky.

I want to correct myself about the loophole about
a DL and a SSN. It is not a loophole if SSA does its
job right because they should not issue no-restriction
card to a "foreign person" defined as neither a citizen
nor a PR

expired i-551 stamp

I have an expired i-551 stamp on my passport. I am expecting my card in a few days ? Do I still need to renew the card ? Would it be a problem if I take an expired i-551 stamped PP to the INS office ( Should i have done earlier ?) please advice.
Thanks
