reset H1 counter

Hi ,
   My 6 yrs on H1 is expiring in Sep 2002. I had applied for GC but left my company & joined a new company . MY I140 got approved 1 month after i left that company . I did\'nt apply for Gc with my current company. Now i want to leave this company ANd go to canada as i have got a job there and have got canadian PR.Will i get a fresh H1 for 6 years if i go out for 1 year and come back again oris it good if i apply for GC again. If yes will i be aable to extend beyond 6 years and will i be able to keep the old pririty date . I am so confused ,I don\'t know what to do
I would appreciate if anyone would give suggestions

First of all, relax and take a deep breath as I answer your questions to the best of my knowledge

If you go out of the country for 1 year, your H1 clocks starts fresh (you will have 6 years).

Since you left your previous company before 140 is approved, you can not use your PD from that GC process.
