Renewing Visa stamp on passport with approved extension of I-94

Hey guys,

I've been searching the Internet regarding this but most of the info I've found is for Canadians. I'm Mexican and I hold a TN2 status.

I recently applied for 3 year extension by using an I129 form and it was approved. However the TN stamp on my passport has expired, and since I'm planning on going to Mexico on vacation for a few weeks, I would like to know if I need to apply for a new stamp in order to be able to return. If so, would my currently-approved extension help somehow?

quick question, would copies of my I-94 would be enough? or do I need to file an "I-824 Application for Action on an Approved Application or Petition" form?

I'm planning on traveling within a month.

The original of your I-797 approval notice (it has the I-94 attached to it) should be taken with you for the interview.
