Questions about use of AP

Hi folks,

Hope you guys are enjoying your weekend. I have a question about the use of AP. I just say on line that my AP is approved. I dont intend to travel until end this year. My lawyer filed my AP in May this year. Is there any rule that specifiy that you need to apply for AP only when you intend to travel abroad for a vacation? What if after I obtained my AP and I have to cancel my plans due to work commitment and I dont get to use the AP, will it be a problem when it comes to renew my AP next year?
