We applied for my mother (I-130) to come here based on my sister’s citizenship. Things so far seem to be going very much on time. The last things my mother got was the approval of the case and they sent her a form called DS-230 which is nothing but biography-related questions. They also mentioned on a separate letter that processing the case is completed at the service center and that the case is now transferred to the local embassy office at my mother\'s home land. My mother mailed-in the DS-230 about three weeks ago.
Here are my questions:
How long, on average, does it take for them to call my mother for the medical exam and then to give her the Immigration Visa? What is the maximum period they give her to be in the US? Was it 1 month?
