Pending and After-J1 Waiver

I had a few queries

1) I am on a J1 visa and will be starting my J1 Visa waiver process. Once i get my case no. and my J1 status is pending, I decide that i need to continue my J1 visa or transfer my J1 and want to cancel the J1 waiver process.
(a) Is it possible and can my case be aborted?
(b) Will this affect me legally later?
(c) Can i get a J1 visa again immediately after my waiver? or i need to wait for sometime duration and apply? Will i again be subjected to a 2nd waiver process.

Can i cancel the waiver process?
Does my case become void?
Are there any legal implications late?
Can i get a J1 visa again immediately after my waiver? Will i again be subjected to a 2nd waiver process.
