There's nothing you can do but wait. I think the fact that they kept your passport is a good sign, hopefully they have requested a visa number for you, but there is a possibility you may have to wait for September.
 
I m just praying , they told me if i need my passport i should email the consulate however if a visa become available i will not get it , so it s 50/50
