I am going to file a K1/K2 visa and was wondering about how long this will take? and if the fact that we have a child together make a diffence in the wait time I have not been able to find a firm answer so if anyone could help that would be great and if you would rather email me my email is sean_bahr@hotmail.com thanks in advance and hope to hear from you soon

There is no 'fixed' time to say how long a k1 application will take, as each case is individual. For one person it could take 3 months, for another it could take 3 years. However, going by people who post on visajourney.com, the average time from petition receipt (NOA1- the receipt notice you recieve from USCIS to acknowledge that they have recieved your petition) to the interview at the American Embassy for the beneficiary is currently at 213 days.

As for whether K2 will slow your case down....I dont know.
