Name Change for Wife as part of N-400 Citizenship Application

We are about to file for our citizenship after been on GC for 5 years. The Wife did not go through a name change after our marriage in India almost 10 years back as we came to US right after our marriage. She is planning for a name change as part of our citizenship application in the N400 form.

We are thinking that it should be straight forward in the US and I think that the following have to be updated after the name change:
1. Drivers License
2. Credit Cards and Bank Accounts
3. Car and House Titles (??)
4. Credit Bureaus (??)

Our main concern is name change in India. As we understand it, name change in India involves filing an affidavit, notarizing, and then publishing the name in a newspaper. But our concern is the following:
1. Bank accounts
2. NRE/ NRO accounts
3. Property/ Tax documents
4. Parent's will where the old/existing name is listed
5. PAN Card and/ or Ration Card

We do not have any problems with family members but we are wondering if it is worth the effort. Relatives are saying that there are cases when someone (not even related to you) disputes land you own in India and if your name has changed, then you have pretty much lost your land. Even when there are no name changes involved, property disputes can take 20-30 years to resolve.

Please advise.
