My wife has been married before once. In N-400 application, Part-9 has a question:
8. How many times has your current spouse been married?
Should I exclude our current marriage and say: 1 or should I say: 2?

8. Items A to D: Is this for my wife's Ex-Husband or herself?

Thanks!

You're supposed to include the current marriage. So married applicants must always answer with a number greater than zero.

Who is the N-400 applicant, you or your wife?

If you are the applicant, you list information about your prior spouses where it asks for prior spouses. If she is the applicant, she lists information about her prior spouses. The applicant must not list anything about their spouse's ex-spouses.

I am the applicant (not wife). In the application, Part-9: 8 A to H - Is this for my wife's Ex-Husband or herself?

Thanks!

Most of it is about your ex-spouses, but some parts such as G are about your wife's exes. Read each part carefully.

Sorry, I was looking at a version of the N-400 from last year. On the latest form, 8A-H are about your spouse's spouses, 9A-H are about your own spouses.
