how much money can be taken while travelling first time to US so that immigration makes no problem taking that amount.exact from how much can we take.its an emergency plz help having a diversity visa

If you are carrying cash, any amount of $10k has to be declared. You can take more, but you should take proof of where the money came from (for instance a bank withdrawal slip). However, carrying a lot of cash is a risky thing - so try not to do that - and really if you are moving amounts greater than $10k you should be looking into Forex brokers to avoid heavy currency conversion fees.
 
It's much safer not carry large amount of money with you while traveling. When we came here we had about 3k in cash. After you land you can open an account at any bank and then transfer your money by online banking.
