What is "Acknowledgement/PD"? Did INS send you a notice or email?

PS: I sent mine yesterday and got the tracking from FedEx that somebody just signed up for my papers this morning. Apparently FedEx is not allowed to delivered the packages to INS anymore. INS sends somebody to pick them up from FedEx daily...
 
Does INS send a notice with the priority date shortly after receiving the application?

Yes, they do, as soon as they file the application. This is true for ANY type of application, not only N-400.
 
Thanks. It's been a looong time (more than 6 yrs) since I had to send anything to INS...
