Hello everyone, I became a U.S. permanent resident through asylum. My national country is Mexico. I would like to know if I can travel to Guatemala and meet my mother there. Both of my grandmas have died in the las two years, and my family is going through some emotional moments right now. Especially my mom, she's suf from depression, and I can't travel to my country or else USCIS won't let me back in. I wanna meet here in Guatemala so I can give her some moral support, and maybe tourist around the area, since I don't have much money to take here somewhere else. Would I have any problems for traveling to Guatemala, I'm not traveling with any of my Mexican documents or passport, and I'm traveling with my us travel document. Please I need some advice, thanks guys.

Absolutely. I have travelled around with no issues with just RTD and with RTD and GC later. No problems at all as long as you don't visit your COP
