Letter from Immigration

Yesterday I received a letter from immigration USCIS requesting evidence of a marriage in 1994 to a US citizen. I have to go to immigration office and speak to officer and talk about it. I am divorced from that marriage since 1999 (even though we were separated shortly after).

any ideas?

Immigration is investigating whether your 1994 marriage was legitimate or fraudulent. Evidence of a bonafide marriage consists of showing financial comingling (joint bank accounts), joint lease, joint mortgage, health insurance (primary and dependent), power of attorney over medical decisions, wills, joint utilities, joint car lease or ownership, pictures of travels and vacations together, airline tickets showing adjacent seat locations, pictures of the couple with family members on family occasions, just to name a few.

Did you obtain a green card from that marriage in 1994, obtained US citizenship later, and now petitioning a new, foreign spouse?
