LC pending in RIR.New PERM application

Hi,
I applied for GC in mrach 2005 undre EB2 RIR.It been nearly a year and waiting for LC clearance.Now while thatz pending can I apply under PERM thru the same employer.I have a bachelor's degree with 5 yrs experience.I'm approaching my 6th year in NOV 2006.What should I do?
