My visa is sponsored by my current employer. There is a possibility i might be laid off due to restructuring plan. I am looking for other jobs and have possibility of getting a new job with H1b transfer.
Can someone explain me the timeline for layoff / visa transfer in my case ? If i lose my job on lets say 9/9 and my last pay stub is on 9/11, and my new employer files for my visa on 9/25 or 9/30, will i be ok regarding my status ? Should i try and file for change of status ? Please advise.
