Keep green card after citizenship

I understand that I\'ve to surrender the green card during the Oath
ceremony after the interview. I\'d like to keep the card if
possible. Has anybody done that? (e.g. report green card lost, etc)

Of course you could "lose" the card, but you\'d have the headache and expense of getting a replacement in progress as you proceed with naturalization (I\'m not sure if this . Also, saying your card is "lost" when it really isn\'t is a fraudulent statement.
