J1 waiver: Final approval from USCIS

Hello friends,
I need your advise again. I got the recommendation from DOS for my J1 waiver on NOC and fwded to USCIS. DOS has enclosed my NOC, DS 3035 and statement of reason to USCIS. Now, that my case is fwded to USCIS, how can I check my status?
I heard about I-612 form in this matter, but I have not filed I-612.
Will I-612 be filed automatically once DOS recommends my application to USCIS?

Can anyone suggest anything about this? How long it takes for USCIS to finally approve waiver on NOC?
Thanks,
MB

You will receive a NOA or form I-797 from USCIS after a week or two. This form means that they have received your application for waiver. It has a receipt number (starts with EAC) which you can use to check your status on line. You don't need to file anything with USCIS. The documents submitted by DOS to USCIS is automatically converted to I-612. It will take USCIS up to 4 months to make their final decision. They will mail you the approval of I-612. Good luck!

Thanks for your kind reply.
I got the final approval notice yesterday, which was Dec 2nd.
It worked out fast, it seems,
Thanks again.
