Is a 29 year old required to register Selective Service

I plan to become a citizen hopefully in about 5 years.

I got my green card a month before turning 29 years old.

Am I required to registed in the Selective Service if I want to become a US Citizen? I believe I read this was only for 18-26 year old male.

I think as long as you are in legal status, until the day you got your green card - then the answer is NO.
