Can someone tell me what does "Immigration check required" stamp on the Indian passport mean ?

My mother in law got her passport with this stamp and she is planning to apply for the visa. Can it have any impact ?

    thanks

It is EMIGRATION CHECK REQUIRED (not immigration check) and should not have any affect on your mother-in-law's visa application.
