I am an international student and i was enrolled in a full time course and when i wnt to international office to apply for my CPT i came to know that my i20 is expired and i dont know that.I didnt get any email from international office that my i20 is about to expire and its one of their duties to let us know that coz they get massage for sevis that this sevis's i20 is expiring.
Now my international office said to me that there is nothing they can do about it but when i search online about this i found that i can apply for reinstatement and there are two ways..i539 and i can go out of USA and come back on initial i20.
Is there any thing in law that say regarding this so i can show to the office and start with the process..i am one one semester away from my graduation.
please help me with this..
and what is the law ful day i can stay in USA..and if i apply for reinstatement can i stay more in USA while my application is under process??
let me know what i can do in this matter.
